My Ramblings

All the single ladies, all the single ladies...

Can you hear the chipmunks singing that song now? Love it!! Being single, not so much sometimes. This is for the single ladies, married ladies you won't be able to appreciate my ramblings as much. So, recently I decided that "prince charming" was probably not going to come knocking on my door, or walk into my office at work, so extra measures would have to be taken if there was ever going to be a date in my future. I thought about it, and I prayed about it and talked about it then decided there would be no more complaining until I had tried to do something about it. I signed up for an online dating site!! Soooo out of my comfort zone, but hey what do I have to lose?? Well, where do you start? There are pros and cons to online dating. Pros- it causes you to come face to face with your innermost insecurities, it allows you to be who you are without constraints, it's easy, it is a good source of entertainment, you get a better idea of how our counterparts are designed. Cons-it causes you to come face to face with your innermost insecurities, do you really know who is on the other end, and it costs money. My experiences so far have been so-so. Somewhere in my answering of the questions required by the online site, the site personality tester thingy came up with that I am compatible w/Cowboys or hunters/fishermen! So naturally, the profile pics of some of these men involved that of them in camo holding up their dead animal that they so proudly conquered!! If you know me, you know that is funny, lol! I do like a manly man, but I don't think I am necessarily wooed by a photo of a man holding up a dead carcuss of an animal...then there was the man who took his photo in what appeared to be the room he grew up in when he was a kid at home, it had 80's rock band posters hanging up behind him. It was great! Bring back the mulletts!! And finally the nostalgic take my pic in front of the mirror in the bathroom and let the reflection of it be my pic. Oh my, I am quite sure these men are wonderful and have lots to offer a gal, they just need a "Hitch". I think I should be "Will Smith", and they can pay me to be their online dating "Hitch". That's stinking funny. Okay so stay tuned, there is more to come on this... draft

Friends and Family- I have started a new tab here "my ramblings".  I am just going to use this space to speak my heart and mind.  It may involve my kids, single life, work, my faith or something I find hysterical.  So when you read here remember who the author is, my knack for sarcasm and that this is only for the thick skinned-so you've been warned:-)
